William Kidd is the red beer from Marbur brewery. It is clear ruby red with a cream-coloured head; the flavour is reminiscent of toffee and burnt caramel. The use of caramelised and toasted malts gives this beer a singular sweetness which persists throughout. Meanwhile, hops tone down the sweetness with a delicate and slightly dry bitterness. The great thing about this beer is its delightful drinkability, despite the aromatic complexity of its ingredients.
